As I stated before; I was honoured by the nomination for "Return To Sender." I did not once think that I could win any award. There is so much good stories out there, that when I read them, I think; "What an excellent work of art. How can I even get to that level." I was just happy that some people would read my stories.
I just wanted to tell a story. Never thought of awards and such. My English spelling and grammar ain't that great either, because English is not my first language!
Yes, I have been devastated by some comments and even mails that was sent to me, but my Editors kept up the pressure for me to finish the next chapter and the next... Thanks Guys!
I was also motivated by all the positive comments and mails. There seems to be more of those as ones that said; "You stink!"
I completely forgot about the Clitorides Awards, and just puttered on writing my story. That led to "Stray Cats Hunt in Darkness."
What a surprise and delight this morning, when I got a mail from one of my Editors to congratulate me on having "Return to Sender" voted "Best Erotic Story by a New Author 2020," and "Jody Daniel" as "Best New Author 2020."
Thank you to YOU my valued Readers, those of you that follow my blog, and those of you that became friends.
To the "Grumpy Old Voice" in my stories; you are most treasured, as you became the voice of my character's conscience. You know who you are, and thanks for being a friend.
