Let it snow!

Posted at

Used to be (back when I was young, and dinosaurs roamed the earth) we got snow every year. In fact, the year we moved into this house, it snowed on December 4th and there was snow on the ground until Easter. But nowadays, snow is an occasional thing. This one the Met office got right, almost. Instead of my permitted daily walk, I escorted my wife up the hill to the hospital for an investigation and came home. I didn't think it'd be very pleasant sitting in the park in the snow with my coffee, so I've got my own coffee (which is better anyway) in a warm room with the stove glowing red.
I expect I'll have to go and fetch her when it's done. But - shock, horror - we're both scheduled for our Covid Jabs this afternoon. That was a surprise, as I thought we were well down the list. I expect they have their reasons.
I hope my readers are happy to hear I'm on the fourth chapter of a Devastation Diary entry, currently titled 'Penny's Promise'. I don't suppose I'll get much done on it today, and since I'm not sure where it's going it might be some time.
For now, keep safe, stay home if you can and enjoy your coffee/whisky/bourbon/whatever.
Ted
