So it is fall.
Half the country (the US) is still on fire, and the leaves turn a lovely shade of burnt umber when that happens. 2020 is kicking the ever loving shit out of me.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to the readers who comment and follow my stories. I could just think up these nasty little scenarios and never write them down. I'd forget them but I get to live them in my head when I write them.
I always hope not only that they are entertaining but they inspire someone else to give it a shot. If a dumb fucker like me can hack out a story then you probably can write a masterpiece. Then maybe I could read a good story or two.
So few good ones lately. No offense to anyone who wrote a story recently - I don't mean YOUR story, obviously. ;)
That being said, I've got a realy great one in the works. "Keeping the women folk in line - my sister's tail" probably deserves a better title. I am thinking about calling the "The Best Story I didn't write" because I haven't done it all.
My writing partner has been Mike McGifford. We started with a premise. Then each of us takes turns writing a chapter.
That means that as I write I never really know what happens next so it builds my suspense.
Granted, there have been times where we had to go back and re-look at some of what we wrote and fix it up/polish it. We've been moving so fast and freewriting down all our ideas that we aren't taking the time to edit like we should. Chapter five is the last cleanly edited chapter I have.
I have 8 more written but they need a thorough cleaning, sanitizing, editing checks, continuity checks, and all that.
It's just for the first time I've been having so much fun living these other people's lives in my head that I haven't done the tedious editing work that authors have to do to make a quality product. I just wanted to write and write.
Mike's chapters are like these insanely well crafted ideas. Every time he sends me something I am reminded of Vulgus. There is such a clarity in his writing.
There was one chapter in particular and I think you are going to love it. I started tweaking the start and end of the chapter so that it aligned with the flow of the story. You know how you might tweak a woman's clit?
Then I couldn't help myself. I started going through each paragraph and I was no longer tweaking - I was masturbating that thing and getting my whole fucking fist in there.
That's the only chapter I did that on and thankfully Mike was okay with it. I was prepared to go back to his original version. That's really the key to these round robins - you have to decide for the sake of the story how much are you willing to give up control on versus for the sake of the process of splitting the writing into taking turns writing a chapter.
If you get a chance to take a look we are at chapter 5 now. I probably won't post up another chapter until the weekend. When I get to seven I traditionally turn on voting. At that point you should have a good sense of whether you liked it (And if you made it 7 chapters lets face it - you probably liked it, you sick pervert you!!...)
I also have resetting my bitch button and I have NOT forgotten it. I am going to see if I can get Mike to help me write that one the same way when we finish (if we) ever finish this one. Right now, I am enjoying the freshness of the relationship the characters have too much to see it arc and end anytime soon.
Writing this story helps me check out of 2020, Masks, Plagues, Fires, Record Job loss, crazy riots, and all the other nonsense back to a simpler time when a boy could dominate his sister and NOT have to socially distance with her at the same time.
join me in perpetual 2019, won't you?
