Vs Emergency
Vs wants....
So one of the issues I'm dealing with is that I sweated my boots to death. I was warned that getting them wet would be bad for them. The work I've been doing lately means that my feet are sweating badly enough that I can see the moisture on the outside of my boots... Needless to say my boots are coming apart. So it has become at least urgent that I replace them with a new pair... $160~ which is like 1/3 of a week's pay for me... But I didn't want them to become an emergency, like having a sole come off while at work.
So they were edging from the urgent into the emergency category in my mind.
Now for the wants... My computer (lappy) battery has apparently died. But I can still use the lappy just have to have power and can't be away from it. That is a want that can wait for a while.
Another want that I decided couldn't wait (as winter is coming) is a pair of house shoes or slippers to wear as floors and what not become colder in the morning.
Then there are the 'needs' I have been informed that I should buy wool sox for my boots to help keep my feet dry. And maybe protect my boots... So I spent $13 and change on a pair (Ouch one pair?) yes one pair of sox!
So I dipped into all the categories of spending today. The problem is that I'm having a hard time putting together a budget because I keep running into these 'urgent' issues that I treat like emergencies.
So far as I can tell the only one that came close to that category today was the boots.
