So recently I've been working a tough 'new' job. It isn't a job I've not done before, but I do get to do quite a few exciting (as in dangerous) things.
I'm working around saws... But I don't think that I'm nearly as dangerous at the job as someone who started today! I shan't say more, just that I nearly had a heart attack watching the way he reached across a saw!
Of course in a mill the most dangerous places are often not easy to identify at first... One of those is a machine called a hog. Now the first thing to know about the hog is that it eats boards for breakfast, thus you do not wish to have any part of yourself caught in it! 'Cause if you do so the result will be painting the hog scarlet! IOW you probably will die and they will give your family a hundred pounds of wood shavings to bury... those may even contain part of your remains. But the most likely thing to survive (mangled as well) is the toes of your steely (steel toed) boots... at least positively identifiable...!!!!!!
