Yep. It's been over 6 years since I have posted a story. But I am back! Maybe?
So, the short version. 6 years of writers block. I have at least 15 stories in some stage of development, in different areas, including expansion of 2 existing stories, several new ones, etc. But over the last couple of years I got stuck on all of them, either on story dead ends, or blanking on where I planned to go.
But for the first time in a few years, yesterday, a full story idea popped into my head. End to end, all the details. A little bit different from my normal stuff (and in many ways the same).
I was watching an episode of Supergirl on the CW and a thought occurred to me. The DCU has 52 parallel earths. What if the earth of my D59 universe was one of those. Therefore, would not some of the same people from the D59 earth exist on some of the parallel earths. Would there be a D59? What would happen if there wasn't. This meant only one thing. Crossover. Everything kind of flowed from there.
So, tonight I submitted Parallels Part 1 for publication. It's part of the D59 universe, even if nothing is happening there yet. And its a combination of 2 of my favorite forms, FanFic and D59 type stories.
Even more exciting, I have a rough idea where this could go longer form, hence the Part 1 (specifically I have an idea for Part 2 and the End. Will this sudden convergence of creativity and time last? I wish I knew, but lets see where it goes.
