Well will be back soon.
Between job changes, lack of business travel (a LOT of my writing was done to pass the time in lonely hotels), and just life, I have not had much time to compose new stuff, and what I did put down I couldn't seem to come up with a complete story line (I'd have the beginning, or the end, or middle, but at best 2 out of 3). There are 5 partial stories sitting in Scrivener.
But about 2 weeks ago, a story sledgehammered into my brain with at least all 3 parts pretty defined (for a first story that COULD grow later). Not sure its my best plot, and its different in style to some of my other things, but its THERE.
The first part is almost done, and will be posted shortly, followed by the rest (at the moment its 5 parts, all of which are actually generally plotted out!) as I can get time to put words to keyboard. But for once, Time is the ONLY limiting issue.
So short version - I'm not dead. Yet.
You may have noticed that chapter 4 is a short piece entitled Epilogue. It's NOT the end of the story, just the end of part 1 - the part I wrote back in 199whatever. Part 2 - Chapter 1 is already finished and being edited, and P2C2 is in progress. Things will go a little slower now since I don't have a backlog.
A couple of people have asked. There will not be one released. I only publish through SOL for a variety of reasons and will always respect their posting rules.
The changes were very minor in the first chapter, and not that significant in the other two already written, just updated ages and some wording and took out a couple of lines. I will need to change a couple instances of foreshadowing as well perhaps but other than that they are effectively the same.
All new material will be written under updated guidelines, and while some planned elements will be removed, the overall plan for the story will not change from notes made almost 20 years ago.
