Several readers commented on the route Gordy is following, requesting a map. I'm just not up to it. However, I believe all the places I've mentioned are on Google maps and you can track the route on line.
Others have asked where Gordy will be heading. Originally, I was going to send him west and south into the Simpson Desert and then Lake Eyre. I've now changed my mind and the next area will be the opal country of Queensland. But I don't want to take him too far east.
I think he'll go from the Boulder Opal country in Queensland to the Black Opal country around Lightning Ridge in NSW. There he'll learn some geology.
