It's hard to believe my last story post was back in April when I published Friends and Benefits. I've got a new novel-length story I'll begin posting soon called The Summer I Grew Up. It's one of those stories that started as a lark and then grew in the telling.
Stephanie Larson is a young woman on the cusp of growing up and is burning with curiosity about love, relationships, and sex. Her older brother, Joe, keeps a rotating set of what's-her-names parading through their house, but it's his best friend, Mark, that finally answers some of her questions and leaves her with a hundred more. Stephanie and her best friend, Bethany, begin an unforgettable summer adventure of love and loss. At times funny and heartbreaking, the story reveals the struggle of finding the answers to the hardest questions we can ask ourselves.
Right now the novel sits at 75K words and needs editing. I've sent off the manuscript to a couple of my volunteer editors / friends, but I'd be open to sharing it out to get more feedback and corrections if others are interested. Shoot me a line and let me know!
