As promised, here is a new chapter of My 2nd Life. I know there is a weird tense thing going on. I was going to work through and fix it but wanted to get it up. So consider this a beta version. When I get time and a little more energy I will put up a better version. Chapter 12 is over half finished so maybe next week.
A couple of people just reminded me politely but truthfully that it had been a while since I posted a chapter. So the next one has been submitted even as we speak.
In my defense, I fell into one of the noobie mistakes. I actually have five stories in progress at the moment. Two here and three not ready to post. I know that I would be more productive if I stuck to one but sometimes I have a good idea and just have to write it down.
Oh, and I have a new chapter of My Second Life that I will post in a day or two.
Hope everyone enjoys it.
As soon as Chapter Eight went up I saw several minor spelling errors. So a new version with about five changes will be up soon. (Yes, Yes, I know that I could ask for an editor but I am not the most sociable person. And I just hate to bother people.)
On a brighter note, congratulations to all the winners of the Clitorides Awards. The two of the three Best Authors are my personal Fav's. I won't say which ones as I would hate to hurt someone's feelings. All three are excellent authors. Plus now I have some new stories to check out.
Work definitely interfering with art. Had a big shutdown at work. Lots of overtime. So all I have done is work, eat and sleep. Finally got a break so Chapter Eight will be up soon. I had so much that I wanted to happen during it that I thought I would never finish.
I finally got the next chapter of SuperVillain up. I am sure some of the other (and better) authors can relate to this. But my characters just did not want to cooperate. They wanted to tell a story that is two or three chapters away. I kept insisting I write this chapter first. They sulked and my brain froze up. It took twice as long to write this chapter as the first six.
As a piece of advice to any other new authors, never try to write a story using multiple word processors. So far I have used Scrivner, which is good but too complicated for me. Then I went back to OpenOffice which is great. Now I am using Google Docs, only because I can access it from work. So I ended up with three different file types that I had to then transfer to HTML. Just a hassle.
