I'm terribly jealous of authors who can pump out story after story, page after page, especially amateur authors like the contributors to storiesonline. Maybe these people have lots of free time, or perhaps they are simply able to write much more quickly than I am. All I know is, although I enjoy writing, it takes me forever to finish any work of fiction.
There are three main reasons for this. One, I'm often busy in real life with (for-pay) creative projects that sometimes don't leave much gas in the mental tank. Gotta pay the bills, you know. Two, I have to be in just the right mood to tell a particular story. If I'm not feeling it, it ain't happening. And three, when working without a firm deadline, I'm an obsessive reviser. For example, I'm embarrassed to admit for many times I've entirely rewritten the long-awaited sequel to "Educating Ricky". Let's just say that it's a good thing I work in a word processor, because if I wrote in long hand, there would be one or two less forests in the world for all the wasted paper.
So I'm not making any promises about when "Summertime...", "The Bradly Bunch", or re-re-re-Ricky will be done, nor will I tease anybody with hints about the other 3 (or 4) erotic stories sitting half-written on my hard drive.
They're all inching towards completion, a few paragraphs at a time, as my flirtatiously fickle muse allows. Check this space every once in a while and - who knows? - maybe you'll see something new appear one of these days. Hopefully, it'll have been worth the wait.
