After my dismal attempt to seek ARC reviews for my newly released Below the Belt--receiving an
unsolicited and glowing review for Stone Cold was especially gratifying. Three Sheets, you have no idea how good it feels to check your morning messages and find such a glowing endorsement. You made my week!

After an overwhelming response, I've decided to take down my most recent story. It's not that I am offended or even disagree with much of the harsh criticism. I realize that it needs a lot of rewriting, and I don't have the time or energy right now. So, I am shelving it indefinitely, while I concentrate on getting a few of my current works polished and published with other outlets.

This is just the Prologue—a small teaser to get you all interested. I began this tale some time ago, but after much discussion, I am rewriting a great deal of it, so please understand that this will be a slow process. It is a very involved story, like something you'd expect from Clancy. If only I could write that well.

I probably seem like I fell off the planet since completing Stone Cold. Apologies. I have been entering the realm of Inde Author publication. It is far more complex that dropping a chapter on SOL now and then, let me tell you. Aside from my independent work I am also in the works with a publicist who is helping me with all the little crap (social media, marketing, SEO tags, printing, etc.) More on that as it develops.

I haven't quit writing altogether. In fact, in the near future, I will begin posting my newest tale, which explores (my narrative) what a realistic apocalypse would look like (Hint: it won't involve nukes). It is deep!

So stand by and stay tuned for The Boy Scout.
