I'm sorry to say that my dad died yesterday!
It went so fast the past few weeks, from getting the diagnosis to passing away yesterday.
Every day, I saw something chipped away from him.
First, his appetite, then his mobility, and finally, his mind because he needed too many painkillers to control the pain.
The palliative care team did their utmost to make him as comfortable as they could, and I am truly grateful to them for this.
But, eventually, he gave up and passed away yesterday morning. While it is sad, I'm also happy that he isn't suffering anymore.
To everyone who contacted me after my previous post, thank you. Your words helped me to go on and do my best to keep my dad as comfortable and cared for as possible.
He will be buried next Tuesday, and then the paperwork will start to get everything in order. It's strange to say this. We are living in a high-tech world, but something like this still needs so much paperwork instead of them just passing along information between systems digitally.
Of course, as you can guess, this means I won't be writing any stories for a couple of weeks. I hope I will be feeling better early next year, and I promise that the moment I feel up to it, I'll start writing again. I still feel eager to get the stories out of my head as soon as possible, but for now, I need some time to recover from this loss.

Hi guys,
I'm sorry to say that posting or writing on my stories will be postponed for a while. I was prepared to post for the rest of the year, but life threw a wrench in my plans.
Two weeks ago, my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer, and it's now up to me to take care of him. I'm an only child, and my mother already died 4 years ago, so I'm the sole caretaker of my dad at the moment.
I hope that you guys understand that my mind isn't on writing at the moment; there are countless other things that I need to take care of to make my dad as comfortable as possible.
I will eventually get back to writing the story, but for now, I need to take a leave for the foreseeable future. I just wanted to share this with you all so you know why the posting suddenly stopped.
Best regards,
Rudy
It took me a while to get back to writing because I felt somewhat drained and needed some time away from my computer. So, I limited my time to it for the bare essentials and to have a little fun with it.
However, I have started writing again since September and now have enough finished chapters to begin posting again while working on the final chapters of the first book in Anita's story.
I hope you will like these chapters as much as I did while writing them.
During the period when I stopped writing, I also began thinking about how to publish my stories. I have decided that from now on, I will write the entire book first before posting it. But this is something for the future. For now, I will try to maintain a new chapter of Anita's story every week until I finish it.
After that, I will likely take a period of time off from posting, allowing me to focus on writing Anita's second book. However, I may post a new chapter of 'The Diary of a NIP-girl: 2001' from time to time. It's also something I still need to finish, but it took me some time to get new chapters from my friend, which I can now start rewriting for her.
So, yeah, I'm not gone, I just needed a little time to recharge my batteries and find the fun in writing again, which I do now have in plenty.
I hope you like this new chapter of Anita's story. It's a prelude to more fun to come! (I uploaded it just now, so it should be available soon!)
Have fun reading!
Rudy
Hi all!
I need to explain why it's taking me so long to continue the story.
At the moment, I'm doing some tough programming at work, and every day when I return home, I'm just too tired to do much behind my computer. Luckily, in about four weeks, the summer holiday starts and I will be off work for about six weeks. This means I will have plenty of time for my hobbies again, and one of them is finishing the first story of Anita.
Thank you all for your patience. I promise you, Anita still has many exciting things happening to her in the coming chapters. I have it all worked out in my head already; the only thing I need to do is write it down. It's about time they invent a device that can read minds. It would go so much faster if I could just think about the story, and the words would appear on my screen. :)
Although I just thought about something that could maybe also increase my productivity. I'm going to look into speech-to-text software during my holiday. I'm sure I would be more productive if I could use something like that. I know I can speak faster than I can type.
Well, guys! I just wanted to share this bit of information with you all, and I promise, this summer will be more productive, and I will finish the first story about Anita by the end of summer for sure.
Rudy
Hi!
I'm sorry it took me this long to get back to you. Certain circumstances made it impossible for me to work on my story.
However, I'm back in a position where I can start working on it again. If everything goes as planned, I'll start posting again the first weekend of February.
Thank you, guys, for being patient. A few interesting chapters are in the works, so I hope you can forgive me for taking a hiatus from the posting schedule this month.
Cya,
Rudy
