Chapter 3 is in the queue. Just a couple of 'author's notes'. The musical debut story is true, but the organist playing at the time was the great Reginald Dixon, and yes, the little boy with the rock was me. Secondly, the real life person who Karen's mother is based on (the actual mother of the girl Karen is based on) had a brother, Arthur Atkinson, who really was the greatest player Castleford RLFC (Now Castleford Tigers) ever had. And he did score a 75 yard goal from a place kick against St Helens in the thirties. I have handled the ball he did it with, which is now in Castleford Museum.
I've put chapter 12 in the queue, this is pretty much a scene setting chapter.
I have just submitted Chapter 11 of Teen dreams for publishing.
