Pars001: Blog

As some of you have noticed, I've been pretty busy working on six different projects that the same time. I know that frustrates some of you who are waiting for an update on Book A when I'm posting something for Book D, but that's just the way my brain operates. If you're a writer, you know how inspiration works. You're sitting there, minding your own business, eating dinner, and all of a sudden something hits you, and you go "WOW!" and you get up from the table and rush to the computer and start typing as fast as your fingers allow. Rest assured, I'm going to get to stuff as fast as I can.

Of note, my agent, Rob, also known as ahorsewithnoname, has been busy putting together a bunch of different packages for me over at Bookapy. As many of you know, I have most of my books over there, the ones that have been completed, and I make a couple of bucks when one sells. I have to admit that when a sale goes through, it warms my heart and keeps my butt seated at the computer that much longer. With that said, Rob just put up a new collection. It's for all of my non-series books (Lost Empire, for example, is currently a four-book series, so it has its own collection), 12 of them, over 800,000 words, and it's set for LESS THAN HALF-PRICE, about $2 a book. Hello all, well, readers of Pars001 I should saw. Wow, did I screw the pooch yesterday! My name is Rob (ahorsewithnoname) and I'm Pars' agent, editor on some of his works, and his friend, and right now I have POOP on my face! It is getting fixed!

So yesterday I was posting some chapters for various Pars' novels and Cat Fight was one of them. Posted chapter 16. Then I went on to post chapter 6 for The Maintenance Main Book 2. Well, that was the plan. Unfortunately, when I copied the text from chapter 6, I actually DIDN'T copy the text, and so when I pasted, Cat Fight went into Maintenance, and yeah, that doesn't work! Got about 25 emails saying ya' made a mistake!

It was me, not Pars. I am the goat, and not greatest of all-time! Anyway, I fixed it, and when SOL processes it, all will be good.

I do want to say one thing. Out of the 25 or so emails, guess how many were RUDE and OBNOXIOUS?

Not a single one. Seriously. Everyone was polite. I am simply astounded. With all of the negative news in the world, foreign and domestic, with the anonymity of the internet, you would think that the odds were that at least someone would unload. Nope.

Readers of Pars' stories, I am grateful, and proud of you.

I'd like to introduce you to a new author here, Duleigh. While his big series is a wonderful, heartwarming mainstream story (Andi's Dream), it's his three-book series, The Adventures of Captain Scarlett, that I wanted to alert you to. He's got three short novellas: Captain Scarlett Saves Mars!, Captain Scarlett vs. The Scrapper, and Captain Scarlett, Martian Envoy. While they are set in the future, they have the "feel" of 1950s science fiction, which is AWESOME! I highly encourge you to read the first chapter here and then go over to Bookapy to his author page and buy all three, they are really inexpensive and doing so will put a smile on this new author's face!
