Several authors write stories with added illustrations, and I wondered what readers think about those images.
I ask this because I have had some comments that they distract from the story. The reader has an image in their head of what the characters look like and the places that the story is set in.
So?
Do illustrations add to the story?
Or do they distract from the story?
Like most of you, I write on my laptop computer, and I find that the 'Act' of writing, creating a fictional character and story line very satisfying.
However, the 'Technical' issue that I, and most people have. Is the 'Spelling' & 'Grammar' of the English language...
And like most people, I use a spell checker and a grammar checker to 'Proof' my stories before posting them.
This has led to a 'Conflict' between my laptop and me... Specifically, the spell/ grammar checker tends to re-write my story and alter some of the creative writing that I produce...
