I finally wrote a new story.
Book Club, is about two women who have a disagreement about the last book that they just read. Things take a turn as they challenge each other...

Anyway, I have been in the background reading stories and making the odd comment. (Not that my comments are 'odd')

It feels good to be back writing again.

Just posting about my work using 'Grammarly'.

I have a 'Paid' account with the app called Grammarly and find it does work reasonably well, in fact, it is working at this very moment checking my spelling and grammar...

It does work much better than the 'Free' version and I certainly can advise you to use Grammarly or another spell & grammar checker.

I must admit it is not 'Cheap' and it does cost a bit of money on a monthly account... But it has improved my writing a great deal and allows me to concentrate on the 'Storytelling'

Just thought I would let you all know.

PS. I am still writing just not posting here for some months, but I will get back soon...

I have been 'Away' for a while due to circumstances...
I would like to thank everyone who wrote goodwill messages on my blog. Thank You...

Got two short stories posted today... I went back to writing slowly... Orange

My poor old garden cat died in my arms today, she had been ill for a short while. Still, the pain and grief are very real. I will not be posting for a while I am just so sad at present...

So the results from asking about Illustrations and images added to a story are as follows...

It is an even split between those who like images and illustrations and those who do not...

Interestingly, just about everyone says that the story has to be good, to begin with.

In other words, if the story is bad or boring, then even if there is an illustration (Or Image) no one cares.

So primarily, good writing and storytelling win every time regardless if there is an illustration added.

I have learned a lot from this, so in the future, I will make changes to my posts here on SOL. (I fact this in all my future writing and posts everywhere...)

First, I am going to post fewer illustrations.

Second, those illustrations will be at the beginning of each story.

Third, The illustrations will mostly be in Black & White or Monotone.

And sometimes I will break all three of those ‘Rules’ just for the fun of it...
