This is the second Crime Drama story under this pen-name. I am much encouraged by the response to this first chapter. I expect it to be about the same size as my other Crime Drama story under this pen-name, (Rigor Mortis) I will make an effort to post at least 2 chapters a week until finished. The main character is a "Mike Hammer" wannabe and the female lead the defense attorney is a "Velda" type of submissive sexpot. Hope not to disappoint my readers.
The best way for a guy in his eighties to lose a story is to create a new pen name and only write one story under it and forget about it. I know this story "Rigor Mortis" was written in a fairly short period of time for me, but it was written during a period when my wife of almost 50 years passed away and my daughter the following year. The SOL version is the first draft and I guess most of my stuff is first draft because I am not a professional writer. I moved into a house just after finishing this story and just now opened the box with the hard print copies of the story. If you read the previous Blogs of Mickey Malone's pen name, you will get a good picture of my thoughts during this period. (2019-2020) I urge readers of this story to read this blog to understand my thinking during this writing. I was surprised the 40 chapter story of about 200 pages received 17,435 downloads to date and has a fairly high grade of 6.75. Caution, it is written in an erotic style but I feel that does not detract from the content.
Just submitted chapter 36. I actually already wrote chapter 38 and chapter 40 because that is the way my brain works. I will write chapter 37 tonight and chapter 39 over the weekend and feed the last 4 chapters to this story one each day until it is completed.I hoped you liked the story. I did my best to do it in a Mickey Spillane style. Of course, he was a real writer and never pulled any punches when it came to choosing his words. I will be moving onto "Swimming in the Jury Pool" to finish that Crime Drama Story as well. It is under another pen name so just put in the title to look it up. It is about halfway finished and will also be 40 chapters to complete.
My only story under this pen-name is "Rigor Mortis" It is a Crime Drama story in the Mickey Spillane style I will be submitting chapter 30 this afternoon and hope to finish the final 10 chapters in the next 30 to 45 days as I am giving it my full attention. The real story is not really in the plot and there is no unexpected ending. It is the flavor of the scenario and the fleshing out of the characters that make this story interesting to me. A lot of the details in this story are factual and I draw most of them from memory of the streets and the times. With few exceptions, I do very little research on most of the 1500 plus stories I have on this site under various pen-names. I have about 2,500 pages of content in the Crime Drama genre and this story will be about 200 pages in total. After I finish this story, I will turn to another Crime Drama story called "Swimming in the Jury Pool" which is about 50% finished. Then I will spend the rest of 2020 finishing about 200 short stories that need conclusions to eliminate the dreaded yellow stripe of incomplete stamped on it. I will be submitting chapter 20 this evening on this Crime Drama with lots of sex story. It will mark the end of Part one of the story. The hero of the story, Private Investigator Mike Malone is scooped up in the District Attorney's dragnet for dirty cops and sent to Riker's Island for safekeeping. Definitely not a good destination for ex-cops no matter what year it is. This book will be a total of 40 chapters or a content of about 200 pages. This story is not getting much interest from readers but I suspect it is due to the slow start on my part. Hopefully I will bring it to a conclusion in about 90 days from today.
