My office chair broke. I have a dining room chair I am using for temporary fulfillment of my addiction to my computer, but it kills my bottom. I cant sit for more than an hour before I lose all concentration, and have to stand up.
Fear not, I ordered a new chair, that should be here by the 12th.
In the mean time, I have been able to do a little writing sitting in my bed, but I usually fall asleep. It was one of those sleeps that gave me the perfect opening to chapter 4 of HD, so it isnt a total loss.
For people interested in ALM, I havent given up on it. I will finish it. The problem is I had the first five chapters done when I got the idea for HD, and my writing style changed. I also prefer to be in a bit of a bad mood when i write ALM, it just seems to come out better. I have 6 started, but until I find that perfect combination of depression and desire to write, I dont want to force it. ALM is going to be Dark, needs to be dark, to drive the story forward.
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. Thanks to my proof readers and editors for making my crap legible.

I am still waiting on the final edits for chapters 4 and 5 of A Lonely Mountain to be done so I can post them. Shouldn't be long.
I just finished writing chapter 3, Haunted Daylight, and sent it to the first editor. Hopefully it will be ready to post in a week or two.
Daniel bit his first human, who do you think it was?
Thank you for all the feedback,

I got an idea for a story, and banged out the first chapter. It is in the queue now. Hope you enjoy.
I did some research and learned the correct format for a conversation. While writing this chapter I felt more confident, and it seems easier to read. I may need to rewrite the 5 chapters I wrote for ALM, but that is work and not fun.
My primary editor for ALM is slowing down due to real life interference. The other volunteers have yet to return anything I sent them, I am not sure about them yet. I could use some more help with ALM if anyone is interested.
I could also use an additional editor for my new story, someone familiar with grammar and such.
Thanks for the feedback!
Chapters 3 and 4 are with editors. 5 is almost done.
With 5 almost done I lost the trail I was following through the forest of creativity. A few days later I reread what I had written and realized I wasnt very good at conveying whats in my head to words. It all seemed rather flat, after the fact. While some authors can spend 10 pages describing a moment, which I find boring(TMI).. I have exactly the opposite problem. My paragraphs didnt have enough spark to make me imagine what was going on.
If there are any exercises out there that address this, I would love to hear about them.
This is my first ever story written since High School. So needless to say this is also my first story ever posted on here. The formatting for chapter 1 didn't come out right, and i will work on that. Chapter 1 is supposed to be attention grabbing, with background and development coming later.
I almost have chapter 3 done.
I am waiting on information from editors before I re-post chapter 1, and send in chapter 2.
I wont be posting to any schedule. I will write when the mood hits me in the face and it wont let me do anything else.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed other stories.
