Turns out I missed a save of a section of chapter 10 after running it through Quillbot and Gramarly. I reran it through and found a few commas in the wrong places. Those are now fixed.
The next chapter has been submitted for posting. If you found the last chapter hard to stomach, this one will likely have you retching. It was written to exercise some demons. After which the story is sunny again for a while. Demons always seem to return. But I will keep you informed of chapters that are less than sunny. Enjoy the next chapter.
Once again this chapter has a way of alienating readers. If you have been reading "The Stowaway's Keeper" and thought it was going to be all sunshine and light; bad news this chapter and the next take a dark turn. But based on John's profession it shouldn't really be a surprise.
All who asked thanks for being interested in a part 2. I am working through some plots more than just training Jackie. That would be interesting but not enough as a basis for a whole 60 or so chapter book. Plus I am working on finishing a different story abandoned some time ago. That I hope everyone will enjoy. Stay tuned.
