Combat Wizard question, and Darwin's World 3 on Bookapy!

Posted at

A reader wondered how T and Shezzie got out of Afghanistan.
Simply put, they did as she suggested; she added him to the roster of patients, went along as Nurse in Charge of patients, and never filed the update that would have revealed where they went. I didn't feel it necessary to fill in the details, but just in case:
Bandage T's face; board the plane, with Shezzie along to keep an eye on him. Let the others deplane first, remove the bandages, and walk off the plane as just two more of the escorts. Simple. The only one who might suspect was the loadmaster, and she never bothered because really, it was someone else's responsibility!
There will be more in the next chapters, starting with the chapter I'll be posting tomorrow morning.
Now to Home, the third book in the Darwin's World Series. I submitted it to the moderators a few minutes ago, and I expect it will be available by tomorrow. I've spent the last few days editing, so it should be a far better read than when I first posted it elsewhere!

The Wizard's Apprentice and future postings

I just posted the final chapter of Wizard's Apprentice; it'll be available after the moderators do their thing. Which leads me to what I'll be doing in the near future.
I'm simultaneously editing Combat Wizard and Home, CW for SOL and Home in preparation for publishing it on Bookapy. It's a lot of work, and at 83 years old I'm good for about four hours each day before I run out of ambition.
I expect to continue posting three chapters of Combat Wizard each week, Mon-Wed-Fri, and on the 'off days' edit my other books. The later ones won't need much work, but it's fair to say I've learned a lot since I wrote Combat Wizard in 2013! A chapter can take as much as an hour, so four or five chapters is about my limit, considering that the first thing I do each day is respond to your emails. I do that because I enjoy reading what you have to say, so keep on letting me know!

The Trek

For those who've been waiting, The Trek, the second book in the Darwin's World series, has been uploaded to Bookapy. It's waiting for the moderators to approve, but should be available soon.
Darwin's World was about individual survival, then survival of a small family group. This time, the challenge is survival of a tribe that's migrating west.
Meantime, as some have noted, I've started posting chapters from a new book, Combat Wizard. I'll alternate posting CW chapters with chapters from The Wizard's Apprentice, which is not at all related to the Combat Wizard series!

Jacob Jennings, the final chapter

I just submitted the final chapter of JJ to the moderators, so I expect it will show up on SOL shortly.
I have no plans at this time to post the sequel, Edward Jennings, to SOL. I will, however, make it available on Bookapy, hopefully next month. I also intend to publish the next two novels in the Darwin's World Series to Bookapy, and that should happen soon. As with Darwin's World, I intend to edit the books before publishing there.
In the meantime, Wizard's Apprentice will continue and I'll soon have another book for SOL readers.
