Just to clear up the geography of their revised affair: Hank lives in the West Bronx, one bus ride away from the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal. That place has another bus directly connecting it to Alpine on the west bank of the Hudson. In practice, Molly is mostly going to drive down to Fort Lee (at the west end of the bridge) or to the bus terminal itself on the Manhattan side to pick him up. That is quite different from Hank just walking less than a mile to her house.
