Hi all, Thanks to everyone for the kind words about my stories. Both as Charly Young and Writer 406. I am just finishing up another improbable journey of one of society's outcasts. I called this one Jason’s Story. It’s a bit out there but I hope you enjoy it.
I’ll start posting it tommorow (Saturday).
I’ve also finished what seems like my billionth rewrite of Keeper’s Justice. It’s in the editing stage now and I plan to start posting it in November.
Thank you again for all the kind words.
First of all I'd like to thank those folks who sent me notes of appreciation for my Keeper stories.
I'm a slow writer and a compulsive rewriter. I've probably redone both books four or five times. I grew up on guys like Louis LaAmour, robert heinlan and Keith Laumer so I tend to cut and cut some all the while hoping I'm getting the chaff not the wheat.
I've gotten some comments about my chapters being too short. Perfectly justified--they are short. Most thrillers run 40 to 50 chapters. That's the way I organise the story. Unfortunatly that tends to frustrate folks who read them in serial form. That's not an apology just an explanation.
Anyway, I'm working on the third book and hoping I can get the dang thing down in a year this time instead of two.
Hello All,
I have submitted the first chapter of the second book of the Keeper chronicles. I plan on posting twice a week. Not sure what days yet.
I'd like to give a special thanks to my beta readers Alan H and James M for thier help and advice.
I sure hope you enjoy it I sure enjoyed writing it. (mostly)
I have finished the second book in the Lachlan Quinn Series. Its title is "The Keeper and The Dragons"
It's available on Bookapy and Amazon. I will start posting chapters here on Saturday
Happy New Year all. I find myself 6 months behind my self imposed deadline on the second keeper book. I offer no excuses but do apologise for breaking my promises to deliver. I'm almost through with book 2 and hope to deliver it soon. (I've found to my chagrin that Second Book Syndrome is alive and well in my psyche.) I've got a solid outline, the cover and the title "The Keeper and the Dragons"-- most of the story is set on the other side of the Fremont Thinning in Oldtown.
