I finished writing book 2 and have reached out to my editors to see about their availability and readiness to proofread. I will begin posting once I start getting edits back and incorporated in the tale.

Thanks for all the notes of inquiry. I am working on chapter 40, trying to wrap the story up. It may spill into Chapter 41 (I typically try to keep the chapters around 10,000 words), but it is nearing a conclusion.

For anyone else out there thinking of a "do-over" story, as your character creates changes in the world, it gets harder to write. While geological events will still happen, how do you assess geopolitical changes given your character's impact on the world? It creates a lot of dead-ends in the storyline that end up being trimmed out in re-writes and edits. Honestly, it was much easier writing about Paul before he began to impact the broader world.

Anyway, once the final chapter is wrapped up, I will send the whole lot (chapters 28 - 4x) to my editors and will begin posting once they are done finding my worst errors.

After multiple notes of encouragement and enquiry, I thought I'd provide a quick update on progress. I have just finished writing chapter 38 and begun chapter 39. Currently, book two is sitting at 191,800 words. I am still planning on wrapping up the story by the end of chapter 40. I am hopeful that the final two chapters move along at a good clip, but it took me three weeks to get the latest chapter finished so that may be wishful thinking on my part. Just a quick update to let folks know that I am making good progress on wrapping up Paul & Jeryl's tale. I have just finished writing chapter 37 and am shooting to have the ending within three more chapters. Once the story is complete, I'll get it to my wonderful proof-readers and then start posting as it comes back from them.

I believe all my major plot points are finally fixed and I am on track to complete Paul & Jeryl's story soon. I'm still not sure when I'll finish all the writing, but I can see the end from chapter 36 which is what I'm currently working on.

Once I get the entire story finished, I'll get it off to my editors and then get it posted.

In the meantime, as a small present for all of my readers, I've posted chapter 28 and 29 for your holiday enjoyment. I did not send these through editing yet, so any errors or typos are all on me. Please be gentle.
