I just added Todd_d172's The Bitch to my Favourites list. It is an excellent read. Here's what I said about it:

This one is short and to the point. It has a sustained pace, nice elements of humor, serious drama, and the right amount of explicit scenes. I had to read it twice before I understood what was right in front of me, but perhaps you'll be faster on the uptake than I was. Excellent and very satisfying. I'd even add poignant in the depth of feeling the characters have for each other. Oh, and cooking, too. Very highly recommended.

Promise is available as an ePub on Lulu and iTunes, and soon on Amazon and elsewhere as well. It's the same story as posted here, but with more book-like formatting and with a few tweaks and corrections. The story as posted here will stay here.

I've given Azotea a couple of tweaks and re-formatted it into a more book-like presentation and added a bit of front matter. It also has a new cover. It's a free download, and it's same story as posted here, which will stay here.

The SOL ePub edition is a clean layout; the Lulu edition adds a little more material (not story), that's all.

I'll post corrections as soon as I can. You'd think I could keep the narrator's name straight, no? The Weston image the cover is derived from is here. There are many different versions of the print around but this one, with Weston's signature, is about as original and authentic as you can get.

I queued Azotea for posting yesterday evening, March 1st. The title refers to the flat tiled rooftop found on many old houses in Mexico and elsewhere. Most of the time it's used for household tasks like hanging laundry or storing junk, although folks have been known to sunbathe up there as well.

Edward Weston made one of his iconic images, a nude study of his lover, Tina Modotti, on the azotea when he lived in Mexico City in the early 1920s. I used a piece of that image for the cover.

In this story interesting things happen on the azotea.
