So far, I've been posting two chapters of "The Salt Road" per day. After tomorrow, I'll increase that to three a day. There are 25 chapters, and the story will be fully posted on 10/31.
I have another story right behind it. In fact, I'll probably start posting that one, two chapters at a time, before I'm done posting "The Salt Road". Watch for it in the next couple of days.
After a short hiatus, I'm back with a new story, The Salt Road. It's similar to several of the stories I've posted - cross-cultural romance with a thriller component. As before, this story is "AI enhanced" and I've voluntarily given it the AI-generated tag myself.
I have a few more stories in the pipeline, and I hope to follow this story with more content.
I've posted the first two chapters of a new story, "The Trouble With Brent Woods".
The last two stories I posted, "Namaste, Stranger" and "Flannel and Frost", leaned pretty heavily into philosophical and reflective aspects. This new tale is different. It's more plot-driven.
I haven't finished composing this latest story, so the updates will come at a slower pace than the rapid-fire pace I managed earlier. It's the last of the backlog I'd accumulated over a period of several months, so after it's completed, there will certainly be a delay before the next story.
Looking beyond, I do have several plot ideas already, so there are definitely "second generation" stories in the pipeline.
There are some minor but persistent formatting issues with some of the chapters of "The Distance Between". They seem to be caused by the embedded text message quotes within the prose. There's a lot of them in that story.
When the story is finished posting, I'll go through the chapters and try to fix them.
The final chapter of "Silver Veil" goes up tomorrow. I'll go right into the next story, "The Distance Between", the next day. I'll lead with the first two chapters, then post a new chapter every day.
This new story will probably end up being the longest one I've posted to this point. The chapters are a little shorter than usual, but there are 42 of them, plus an epilogue. As with all of the stories I've posted so far, there's the usual "AI enhanced" disclaimer.
The story is told using rotating 1st person POV, between three different characters. It's split into sections, with the POV character clearly named at the start of each segment, which should make it easy to follow. I've never created in this style before, but it seems to work well with these particular characters.
