Notes, acknowledgments and anything else I can think of
1) As always I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to read the stories I have written. For writers who do this for free, our payment are thank yous and I appreciate every one.
2) Please note that I have said it before and I will repeat it here, I am NOT a writer, I am a storyteller. Although my proof readers (when I have them) and my Editor who have been more than patient with me have done marvelous work fixing some major and minor errors I have put on screen. I would like to thank everyone who in the past have stated I am much more than a simple storyteller. I appreciate their statements of conficence but as is stated in the movie Magnum Force, "A man has to know his limitations". I know mine and I am happy to claim the title of a simple storyteller.
3) For the stories I tell, I use a lot of additional source material other than the empty void between my ears, I would like to acknowledge the ownership of the material and have no intention or desire to take away or steal what is rightfully someone else's. To start with I would acknowledge the the gaming company, now out of business, called Judge's Guild and their "Wilderness Campaign" maps. With out having them for the last thirty-five plus years it would have made the telling of this and other stories yet to come, very difficult. To all of them, I offer a salute as their workmanship and imagination all those years past have added a lot of enjoyment for me and my friends.
4) Other acknowledgments include Advanced Dungeons & Dragons both first and second edition rules with some other thoughts thrown into the mix. Others I would like to thank for their efforts include the game Runequest, my friends and I adopted the system long ago and made the game our own. Then there are all the books, games, and images from where I do not remember, that have been floating around in my mind and are only now being incorporated into my work.
In closing I would once again like to thank all those who have taken the time to read my work, whether they have or have not sent words of encouragement for my efforts and those who seek to make my use of the English language easier, you are all important and I thank you.

Greetings,
I have been asked, and I agreed that an update to what is going on in my writing is warranted. The short answer is in good faith I went back and started to correct the errors in my first story that was making writing the sequel harder. In good faith I was working my way through the story when my muse decided to take yet another break giving me an idea for another story. Following the direction my muse wanted to go I got into writing this next couple of stories to which I have about ten chapters done in one and twenty chapters doing in a prequel/ sequel. Admitting to that I apologize as I do want to get back to work in the next Giants story but these two are raging in my head wanting to be written and I am following my muse. To everyone who was ready for the sequel to Giants, I am sorry.
With my apology done I would like to ask if anyone is interested in proof reading and possible sounding board for my current work which are Modern Fantasy/ High Fantasy to contact me through SOL. I am looking for one or two individuals who have the time and inclination to discuss what I am doing and where I am planning on taking the stories. If you have the time and desire to work with me I would like to hear from you.
I will try to answer everyone who has expressed interest but if the response is too great, please forgive me if I say thanks to everyone in a blog post. Previous requests have taxed my ability to reply but I will try if you are willing enough to write to me in the first place.

In the last couple of weeks in trying to fulfill my promise of writing the second installment of Giants I have gone back and reread chapters intending to keep the story consistent before you the readers returned with pitchforks screaming for my head when I set up part of the story incorrectly.
In doing do I have come to the horrifying realization the errors I did find were significant enough that before I can proceed with the new story I must first correct the previous story just to preserve my sanity. So I am saying at this point, the next installment and the corrections to Giants will take longer as I try to unscrew what two revisions have screwed up.
I apologize in advance it was not my intention to leave everyone hanging longer than it was already going to take but I see no other way but to fix Giants before I continue on.

To begin with I would like to thank everyone who have stayed with me as well as the story for these past 3+ years. Added to those and in some cases they are the same people thank you for all the criticisms, all of them have had a profound impact on my writing going all the way back to the beginning of Giants in the Sandbox.
In rereading some of my early work I am impressed by you, the reader's ability to stay with a story even when it stunk to high heaven. But that brings me to my point that I am not a writer but instead I am a story teller who uses a computer to tell my tales. If there are things wrong in the work, I apologize as I said before I am a storyteller not a writer though I think I am improving my work as the number of errors Chipster82 has been fixing has been on the decrease as my English awareness improves.
So end my apology and my thanks for following along all these years.
Now for the next part and once again I am asking the question of all of you. The first question is for the next installment of Giants, which will be titled "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", do you all wish me to continue where I ended the story? Or advance the story several years allowing several of the characters to age. I ask this as several people I have asked already have split on the answer but what I have written will fit in either way.
Second I have a list of bad guys and they will be dealt with in the same style I used on them in Giants as I poked fun at the idiots in my life and enjoyed every second of it. If you the reader has a thought or group who you think might make a good target please let me know as I have my hit list of new villians as well as the return of others who got off lightly before but will be visited again soon.
Last thought before I let you all go is that the first book was conceived to be the first thirty days of the survivors and what happened to them. This one if we keep the same look will be immensely drawn out and I am wondering if you the readers want me to continue to write in the same manner.
Any ways it is late here and I need to wrap this up so I say thanks again for sticking with me and I hope to see you all some more once The Lion starts.

Thanks to everyone who gave me the name Service Society, you all were correct.
I have been asked repeatedly as to when will I be writing the second story to Giants and I can say the story is in the hopper to be next on my list once I finish "The Spark". Exactly when that will be I cannot say but I can actually see the end of Spark coming quickly.
Finally I have received several messages referencing a statement the ship was plutonium. No one at that point had any detection gear so there would have been no way for them to know if in fact the ship was radioactive. What I meant was having an intact starship in their possession would be extremely dangerous with governments and private organizations willing to kill for possession of the ship.
