To begin for everyone in the US who will be celebrating Thanksgiving, hope you all have a good day with family or whoever you spend it with.

As to my writing I have been asked to post an update as to what is happening there so with today being the day before Turkey day I agree that an update is warranted. First off I have found my drive that was placed into storage five months ago and you have the latest chapter for Shaman. I have another chapter that I am putting the first of the changes from my proof readers into and once I have that done from all of them then I will post it as soon as possible. Continuing with Shaman I have two more chapters that were being written when my world was turned upside down but now I am looking at what I had down and moving on from there and will hopefully get them finished soon.

For those who wish to know about the follow ups to Giants and Spark here we go. For Giants I have 4 chapters written and as I focus more on them I will get them to the proof readers and hopefully they can piece together my writing from different times in my career. Not to get everyone's hopes up that it will be released soon but the title will be, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". The final installment will be titled, "The mouse that roared"

As to "The Spark" I have a working outline for the story though at this time I have been considering going back and fixing some of the spots (rewrite) where I have jumped the shark. Do not get me wrong it went where I wanted the story to go but there were things I should have considered but failed to recognize in time to fix the issues. I may go back and work them but then again I may allow them to stand and simply move forward.

Well that is all I have for now as far as an update goes so everyone please have a safe holiday and eat lots of Turkey.

For everyone trying to follow my stories and have of late began to wonder what has happened to me well the abridged version is that the home I had for the last eleven years (not mine) was sold out from under me on extremely short notice. So short that everything I owned had be out in less than a week so EVERYTHING went into storage, including all of my writings, maps and research. The worst part was the short time window which meant mass confusion as to where things got placed. Now though after attempting to go through the various storage lockers and other places where my possessions are now stored I am unable to locate any of my writing materials meaning that chapters written and ready cannot be found. Worse the writings giving me the direction I wanted the story to go are also MIA meaning I am fearful of starting again only to find the data later and trying to integrate it all.

The short of it now is that I am dead in the water, becalmed until such time as I can go through the lockers properly and with enough time that I can be assured I can find my material. I am sorry for this update but after my latest attempt to find it all I thought it better to let everyone know what the heck was happening though to be truthful I am still unsure myself.

I feel like I need to if not apologize at least inform those of you who have followed my tale an explanation as to my absence. To begin with an explanation.

I blame my wife, she is the one who had me doing her honey do list when I tore all the tendons loose in my shoulder requiring me to under go reconstructive surgery. To say the recovery has been slow I cannot say for sure but it sure does feel slow to me. Any ways a number of weeks have passed since then and I can FINALLY get my arm onto my writing table long enough to get a few things edited and a few others written so I think I can say I am back and hope to stay here until the VA gods determine it is time to finish putting me back together and do the other shoulder. Until then I am hoping to get quite a bit put down on paper or computer screen.

So that is my explanation as to why I have been MIA since september.

For those who might be concerned at my absence, I apologize. I had to have shoulder surgery done and in the lead up to the day I found I had no desire to finish what I had written to that point. Now post surgery I find I cannot elevate my arm enough to be able to get it on my desk to support it without pain and concentrate on my writing.

Be assured though that I will return hopefully in another week and I can get back to my writing. If not though I may be delayed further as my wife is threatening me with divorce saying I am driving her nuts wandering around the house aimlessly.

My apologies to everyone who has been following Shaman. This summer has been a crazier than normal with the normal summer distractions. The main culprit in my lack of writing is my muse who decided to take the entire summer off and only recently returned. Now that she is back I am hoping to be more consistent in my writing and get out the chapters I have stored. Any ways I think I am back for at least a little while until the next distraction hits.
