Thank you, dear readers. You have downloaded this story more than 35,000 times in the last ten days and have responded to it more strongly than any of my other stories. Several people have urged me to continue it and some have offered excellent suggestions for expansion.
I am working on it and will attempt to continue, if my muse is willing.
Thanks for reading. You make this a great hobby.
Many thanks to those of you who caught typos and plot holes. considering the number of times I have complained about poor English usage in other stories, I take my duty to present an accurate story seriously.
Thanks for the error reports. Please continue at the same rate of pay, although we have taken a leaf from the latest bank regulations and will be applying negative interest rates to your unpaid balances. Check with me at any time to see how much you owe me now.
I just submitted a silly little story intended for the story contest. After writing it, I read the contest rules (clever sequence, numbnuts). I had included identifying information and the stories will be judged without the identity of the author. I could change the story or simply post as just another story. It will offend nearly everyone who reads it, so you might want to give it a pass unless you enjoy laughing at yourself. You know my address, so feel free to sling all the mud you can carry.
I debated with myself how to structure this. What happened was that there were two tests where the outcome was very bad, so the dialog repeated from a former time, to undo the problem. I probably should have put in a dividing row of some type to let the reader know that time had backed up.
Any suggestions you have on how to do that would be appreciated.
In response to a total lack of requests, an extension of the dialog with the Beetles From Beetlejuice has been posted.
