The first day on the road had it's ups and downs as the drivers and teams got used to one another. Some of the teams of animals insisted on trying to pull harder and faster, while others resisted and had to be goaded to keep up the pace. The guard force also had to work at getting their spacing set for best coverage as the caravan moved ahead. By midday, things had begun to shakedown and the slow pace they started out at began to pick up. The midday meal was dried and jerked meat, eaten in the saddle, or the driver's seat. The few passengers on this trip didn't eat any better.
This is a throw together that links the Arrowmark Saga to the New Journeyer's. I hadn't planned on this, but it sort of thust happened.
To those that have asked that I include the story keeper of the Shield and Arrow to be included as part of the ongoing saga, thanks. Tama has been haunting my dreams and we hashed out a family history and how the shop owner will be part of the tail on down the road.
The following day had little of note except that the food was noticeably better now that the old cook had been removed. The one time Jessa came out and tried to flirt with Andrew almost led to a fight with Brena. Andrew had decided after their fun in the shower that he wouldn't have any more time with Jessa. He could ill-afford to have Brena angry with him in the coming months.
Andrew wandered around the market for a time, looking at the wares the merchants had on display. Something about the scene was bothering him though, like an itch he couldn't scratch. He wasn't sure what it was, but something about this market kept niggling at the back of his mind. He looked around, studying the stands and stalls, ticking off what he could see for sale.
