Shared Grief

Posted at

I started posting storied on this site perhaps 15 years ago. From writing stories for here I started to write novels. I now have 7 novels in print and I'm working on an eighth. I've gone back and looked at some of the stories I posted here, and I find that my skills are a little bit better. I'm going back and cleaning up some of my stuff. I hope those who read my "new" stories feel I've gotten a bit better over the years. Shared Grief is the first one I've worked over. I invite you to read it and share with me your thoughts. Best wishes, Stacatto

Mandy update.

I've been looking over past stories and as I re-read some of them I am embarrassed how cumbersome some of them are. I have worked on Mandy and I will re-post it tonight. (if I can figure out how! LOL If any of you ever read Mandy, I invite you to read it again and tell me what you think. Thank you. Stacatto (PS I know it's supposed to be STACCATTO!)

Up-dating Houseboat

I have totally re-posted The Houseboat. Now, on to the next story in the series. I would love to offer a time line for its posting, but life keeps rearing its ugly head. BTW: if anybody knows where to turn in your "big peoples card", please let me know and I will get in line right behind you. I was told when I retired I would be bored and have to much time on my hands. Bull Do - Do!

Anyways, I would like to thank everybody who is reading this again and for all of your really nice comments. I started Houseboat in 1995 and finished in 2010. I got to thinking that Matt is getting a bit long in the tooth to do some of the things he is doing. So I have dated his stories to "keep him young". (Don't you wish we could "date" ourselves and keep us fresh and young?) Here is the link to get to Houseboat.

PS: Crescent should be ready soon and Matt's third adventure I coming along. Thanks

Back in the saddle

Hello to any who take the time to read this. I have found that since moving to Florida, my desire to write has departed. Perhaps the weather cooked it out of me? God knows that your brain will not work at 98 degrees with 130% humidity. A sauna is not the place for inspiration. In an effort to try and get interested again, I went back and re-worked The Houseboat. The start is different and I have tried to "clean" it up. I know that a lot of people do not like to re-read a story so I just want to warn you that basically the story is the same. It just got "dolled" up a little. I will start re-posting chapters in the next day or so. The chapter numbers have been changed. Okay, hello again and I hope to have something new for you shortly. Stacatto

HELP --- STOP --- ENOUGH

Whew … I feel like the Dutch boy who pulled his finger out of the dike; my God, talk about a response! You all are better than Wikipedia! LOL

Thank you to all of you who responded. Believe it or not, the amount of information I received was actually very helpful; there was a lot (big grin) but all if it was great. Because of all the information I got, I was able to get an excellent overall view of the upper working of the Navy.

I am working on the third Matt Preston novel and as some of you know, one of my characters is Admiral Cutt. Matt is dealing with an enlisted person who was the top of Cutt's command. Due to all of you, I have a much better idea of who, and what, this chapter will be

Thanks to each and every one of you who responded. Honestly, I got a much better understanding of what I was looking for because of your many varied answers than I would have gotten with just a couple. My biggest regret is I can't give all of you who wrote to me any credit … if I did, I'd have to write another book just to include all of your names. LOL

With much appreciation to all of you,

Satacatto
