Alright - cold battled and defeated, now I can think again. Chapter 3 is still coming along, so don't worry about updates. I have had to re-write sections as it wasn't working the way it was going.
My outlines are very simple - "This happens in this chapter". So I know what I want to do, just getting from point A (end of previous chapter) to point B (end of this chapter) is what sometimes drives me batty.
You know what sucks when you're trying to write? A head-cold that makes your brain feel like cotton-candy. Very little work done the past couple days, but I am trying to push through. Mint-tea and Dayquil are helping, but it's not quite enough.
Wow, a lot of people are liking 'Best Friends'...thank you. I wasn't prepared for the reception this would get, and to see so many add it to their Library just...wow.
I do outline, basic - one sentence of what the chapter is about. Chapter 3 is in progress...sort of. What happens there feeds into chapter 5 - so guess which one I'm currently working on... (sighs)
At least with the software I use, it's easy to go back and forth. If you haven't looked at Scrivener - do so, it's a great application.
Okay, Chapter 2 of 'Best Friends' is now in queue. Moving slowly, but have to remember that the pair really is unknowing about a lot of things, so it's completely normal.
Comments/critiques always welcome - help me improve my writing.
I had chapter 2 written, spell-checked, grammar-checked, ready to go up.
Then I re-read it and went 'Oh god, no. Too fast, too much - this is suppose to be SLOW.'
Re-write time. So it's coming, just later than I thought it would. Patience is a virtue they say, screw that, I want to get this out....but I also want it to be right.
