This week with Arlene and Jeff:
..."Questions?"
There were none at that point, but as the vids continued, there were more and more questions, especially after they incorporated the next steps.
"Ma'am," Joe Martin addressed Arlene, "how did you get that last shot? That was our interceptor taking fire from a Paladin, but I don't remember the Paladin looking the way it does on the screen, and it would have to have been our craft doing the recording."
"Something that none of us knew in the beginning, although I'm sure that Ship told us. Each interceptor not only has its equivalent of gun sight cameras but also has something like our three hundred-and-sixty-degree cameras, except they are crystal clear without distortion, no matter which view you choose."
A few minutes later, Martin commented, "Wow. Does that bring back memories. Our wingman discovered a Paladin and engaged just as the second Paladin came on the scene. It was getting to be a real furball when you guys showed up.
"Those things had guns everywhere and a crew to serve every damn one of them, it seemed. You couldn't get near a Paladin without taking fire, but they couldn't stand against teamwork, and that was your idea, Commander."
"No, that was the Colonel's idea," Arlene insisted. "He demanded it from the very beginning."
"Whatever. It definitely saved our asses," Martin insisted...

This week with Arlene and Jeff:
...A little later, Diana found her husband in the living room and sat in his lap. "You're going to let your daughter and Ann go off to Mars to be gone all day? They'll be practicing for a parade, and you know she will make it as exciting as she can, which will mean they will be flying close to each other, and no telling what other things they will be doing. Aren't you worried?"
Jeff almost teased her but realized how serious she was. "Baby, whether we realize it or not, Arlene, Ann and all the other aviators are combat veterans. Flying in formation is something their AIs can do without using one percent of the AI's capabilities. And… if Arlene is piloting herself, the AI will drop in to keep her from making a fatal mistake. Those interceptors have more fail-safes than you would ever believe. In addition, our daughter is no fool, and neither is Ann.
"I worried about them when they were fighting the Paladins and flashing from one place on Earth to another at a quarter-light, but no matter how breathtaking she intends to make this parade, just remember, they aren't being shot at now, and the pace of the parade will be that of a snail compared to what they have been accustomed to during combat.
"But you should check on them, at least."...

This week with Arlene and Jeff:
...Arlene, followed closely by Ann, slammed the door open to Jeff's office and stormed in to find Diana bent over his desk with his softening cock still stuffed up her pussy. Her shorts and panties were hanging around one ankle while his jeans and undershorts were pushed down to his knees. Both had divested themselves of their shoes at some point.
"Well, I'm glad someone has time to enjoy themselves. Ann and I certainly don't," Arlene groused.
"It's called making love," Jeff reminded as he frowned at the two, "and you don't seem to mind when you're included."
"Or fucking," Diana said with a giggle as she wiggled her ass, causing him to push into her for a moment before he reluctantly pulled out, picked her up and sat on the couch with her in his lap. Her shorts and panties were now lying on the carpet near his desk, but he had time to pull his undershorts and jeans up, although he hadn't fastened his pants yet...

This week with Arlene and Jeff:
...As soon as Diana left, Selina approached Alice and Terri. Both girls had been enthralled with the wolves and had spent their breakfast time trying to converse with their new four-footed friends.
"I have been assigned what I hope to be the very interesting project of introducing our pets to the wolves. For our initial meeting, we shall use the second-floor living room, if that would be convenient for you two. I assume you would like to participate?"
"Wow. Sure. It should be great fun," Alice expounded.
"Different, for sure," Terri returned with a smirk.
Selina raised her voice slightly. "AI, would you please contact Hope and ask if she is free to meet with us in the living room on the second floor. Also, ask her to bring Sugar with her because we are going to introduce all our pets to the wolves."
"I will, indeed, Ma'am," the computer returned with its sometimes unfathomable reasoning.
Occasionally, it refers to Jeff and Diana by their first names, yet it just called me, a seven-year-old, Ma'am. Could that be its version of a joke? Oh, well. I have no time to reason it out now...

This week with Arlene and Jeff:
...Before more could be said, Jeff walked in, obviously having heard at least part of the conversation. "My thoughts exactly," he said as Diana got up to return shortly with a glass full of ice. Smiling his thanks, he filled the glass with lemonade before taking several large swallows just as Arlene, Ann, Kei and Aiko, the latter two bedraggled looking, walked into the kitchen. One look at the lemonade, and they all got glasses before sitting at the table with the rest.
Despite what Diana had said, Jeff did have some sweat on him, but not nearly enough to have run as far as he had. It was evident Arlene and Ann had been exercising, but they weren't stressed. Kei and Aiko, on the other hand, looked every bit as bad as Morales, but they wore a grin that seemed to be permanently plastered across their faces.
"I take it that you made your ten miles in the allotted time?"
"Well," Aiko began but was interrupted by Arlene.
"Kei made her ten, eight-minute miles with Aiko only a few minutes behind her. We are so very proud of both of them. That is an astonishing accomplishment in the short time they have been running."
The tiny woman spoke up. "I did not make it in the time my daughter did. However, I am improving every day, and shortly I hope to do the ten miles in eighty minutes."
Jeff stood, walked over and kissed both Kei and Aiko deeply. "Well done," he quietly said to both of them, then to Arlene and Ann, "and well done to you two as well."
"Mom and I could not have done it without Arlene and Ann," Kei agreed.
As he returned to his seat, Jeff saw Jasmine checking her watch, and it didn't take a genius to surmise she was doing a little arithmetic in her head...
