I have received many inquiries regarding my next installment of the story Opening Earth. Yes, there will be a sequel, and I have started writing the sequel. I also started two other stories in the D-Hopping Universe. However, my primary focus right now is on a story that I call 'The Ark'. Once I complete that story, I will return my focus to the sequel to Opening Earth.
The Ark is about 80% complete. I estimate that I will be able to complete the story in about 2-3 months, if other things like honey-dos don't take up too much of my time.
At this point in time, the Chocolateen and Ancient Abilities series are complete and I have no plans for further sequels, although I did leave the door open for a further sequel to Ancient Abilities Part 2. My main reason for not planning a further sequel is that I received only a couple of emails about these stories from my readers, thus it appears that they are not enthralled by the storyline. If that is the case, then I will let the story end at this point.
I received a fair amount of feedback from readers requesting a sequel to Time Scope. I developed an idea for Time Scope 2, and put together the basics of a storyline for that sequel. It will take a good bit of time and effort to finish that sequel, so I probably won't get back to it until my D-Hopping Universe stories have been completed.
I have four additional stories that have been on my backburner for a long time. Back when I first started to write fiction, my story and writing skill were rather poor, and my first few stories were put on the backburner, until I decided what to do about them. One of those stories is the second story I ever attempted to write, and I called it 'The Pink Monkey Chronicles'. I find the premise of this story to be very intriguing, and it is on my list of stories to complete. The start of my first version was set in the late-1800s, and my second version was set in the future. I am not happy with either version, so this story will take a lot of time and effort to complete.
I thank all of my readers for the support you have given me during my short career as a writer of fictional stories. I would especially like to thank Kiwi Chris for the effort he provided me on Chocolateen Part 2 and Ancient Abilities Part 2.
Hopefully I will be back to posting in about 3 months, so until then may you find many good stories to read.

It has been a while since I posted a blog update addressing the status of my writing.
Chocolateen Part 2 is complete and posted. I have finished writing Ancient Abilities Part 2 and am in the process of proof reading and editing the story. I should complete that this week and hopefully it will be ready for posting next week.
Today I posted a short story called Time Scope. I recall stating that the Pink Monkey Chronicles was the first story that I had attempted to write. I have absolutely no idea why, but three weeks ago, Time Scope popped up in my mind. I had completely forgotten that story. At the moment and unless something else pops up in my memory, I will have to correct my former statement for Time Scope was the first story I remember ever attempting to write.
My subconscious mind must have been working on that story for the storyline popped into my conscious mind as a complete story. It only took me two days of writing to complete the story; it just flowed from my mind to my keyboard. Of course, I proofed and edited the story also, which took much longer.
My sequel to Opening Earth is still evolving and I also started two additional stories in the D-Hopping Universe, which I named Sam's Hopping and Officer Symms.
I still work on The Ark when I am in the mood to update the narrative chapters to a dialog format. I also have about five additional stories just sitting on the backburner. Once I finish what is on my plate now, I will have to consider resurrecting and completing those stories.
This week I will be spending most of my time on getting Ancient Abilities Part 2 ready to post. I will spend the rest of my time reading other authors' works and writing my other stories.
I submitted Chapter 6 about 12 hours ago. Just checked and the chapter had not been posted. Resubmitted the chapter and it is now posted.
Sorry about that - REP
My readers notified me of two major content errors in the text of Chocolateen, Part 2, Chapter 2.
(1) Auckland is not the capital of New Zealand - totally my error. I misread a passage in an article on Auckland.
(2) I copied the text from an on-line Chinese menu and pasted it into the file in order to easily create a list of Chinese food items. I deleted the portion of the menu that I pasted into my Word file, but somehow in converting the Word .doc file to a .txt file, the Word conversion program pulled the deleted text into the file.
I posted the first chapter of Chocolateen - Part 2 this morning.
The story is a cross over story that begins about 12 years after Part 1 ends. The story is told from James Schneider's point of view and it details how James Conrad enlists Frank and Jim in helping to accomplish the mission that the Guidance Council assigned to Jim Conrad.
I recommend that my readers read the first parts of Chocolateen and Ancient Abilities for background, so they will understand the parts of this story that are not fully explained by the storyline.
Thanks,
REP
