Okay, so I know that at times my rate of writing can be frustrating with large-ish gaps between chapters… I have to admit that I’m just not finding inspiration right now to work on my latest “Road Cycle” story…
So, I recently downloaded the text files for “The Glen” (Books 1 & 2) and noticed that they were 1st posted up in 2004 (WT***!) and I’ve also felt badly that Book 2 has languished for so darned long! So I did some clean up work on Book 1, and I’ve restarted efforts to work on Book 2 (so far also clean up and revisiting the story to get it fixed in my head)…
So, I think I’ll repost the cleaned up version of Book 1 and 2, and then start working on adding chapters to Book 2, starting with Chapter 13 (a lucky number, I’m sure!).
Chapter 5 is a bit of a transition chapter… As we swing out of the large group ride and start working on training as well as sorting through the relationships in Nate’s life… A lot of changes are headed Nate’s way, some very welcome, and some bitter sweet…
I have just submitted Chapter 4 of “Time Trial” and it should be posted shortly.
This weekend is Seattle to Portland weekend, and I will be driving a team support car all weekend in support of my team and our sister squads on the road! The weather looks to be close to ideal, and it promises to be an EPIC ride for all. I hope to be rejoining my team as a rider by next cycling season. SInce STP plays a big part in both my life, and in the “Cycle Series” stories, maybe I’ll get some more inspiration over the weekend as well?!
Okay, so I’m working on writing a bit more… But it’s also getting busy on the team front. We have a workshop this weekend for new STP riders and then the STP is next weekend, so my free time will be at a real premium! But, it’s summer and the roads are calling!!!
I’ve just uploaded for posting Chapter 2 of “Time Trial”! I got over the small blocking I was having in how to move in the direction I want the story to go (to follow my own outline! Gotta love it when you get in your own way!) and assuming that I get more free time to actually write, I may have another chapter in a week or so… I do have a full time day job, and a lot of extra hours activities (like preparing the team for the Seattle to Portland in a few weeks. I’ll be driving one of the team support cars this year…).
