Thanks to all of you readers that dropped in on this site in the last four days! I am almost humbled by your support, but I realize that you're "Swarmers" and would have read it anyway for the first time writer.

Yes, I do have another in the pipeline and I'm putting the last couple chapters together. It is a Pick Up story with a younger Kelly Jensen and Papa Sam who was just a passing mention in this story.

Tulak: Battle of the Ridge A Swarm Cycle story has been submitted for posting. It's a little different from most of other Swarm Stories.
About a month and a half ago one of the authors, John Lewiston, started talking about battles with the alien Swarm (that discussion ultimately resulted in a chapter within "Stewart's Second Mission"). And one of my characters insisted she was a warrior and that I should write about her.
The next evening I had about 1200 words. Life happened and I had some discussions with a couple other writers. They thot I should fix a couple things and throw it open to the (authors') board.
Well, a couple things became a bunch of little things, clarifications, discussions and calculations on laser crystals and REAL LIFE.
The story is much better (Thanks Folks!) and a bit over 5K words. And unlike the *Starship Bloopers* movie there's no time for sex on this Battlefield!
Enjoy it anyway. ;D
Almost a year since I posted my first SOL story my second story, a short Swarm Cycle story is with the editors and has already been ok'd by The Swarm Cycle Universe owner, Thinking Horndog.

It's been awhile. Life has been interesting. The significant other had to undergo a number of small surgeries for little cancers. She is healing well, but she's grumpy and uncomfortable and when Mommy ain't happy. ...
In between being a home health nurse, cook and housekeeper I've done a bit of writing.
I want to thank the folks, all 4 or 5 of you, that keep checking into on my SOL site. I found it interesting that of 1100 downloads of my first posting I only received 1 comment, from a friend. That one scare ya'll?
For a couple years I've been hanging out (online) with the Swarm Cycle authors. An interesting group. Slowly, I've put together a Swarm Pickup Story. It has been going thru the editing process and is almost ready for final "Canon" check. Yes, the authors are the keepers of the canon.
Ready, except for one very pesky, significant chapter which might have to be broken up into parts. Seduction should not be rushed when it involves several different persons.
Yeah, scifi, a bit of sex, some violence, ropes, handcuffs and unusual life styles.
Next month -- light summer reading.

Yes, I'm working on other stories. The first, a Swarm Cycle story, to be launched the end of December or early January 2014. Then we'll see what comes to the top of the pile after that.
