My HP2000 has died. I write on my trust Acre, which runs XP that supports the version of MS Word I prefer to use and that is paid for. I NEVER used the Acre anymore to go online to keep it virus-free. I used the HP to send my files to SOL after transferring files with a thumb drive. I'm sending this from one of the iPads. I can't get from the Acre to the iPad. I hope to have a new PC web-ports soon so I can send the next chapter of Code Monkey to my proofers. If something gets in the way of posting the next chapter I will post a warning.

Look for chapter 51 on the 18th, and Merry Christmas to all of you. My muse has headed for hot sands and salt seas but I'm still slogging out new material--it just isn't pouring out of my fingertips as it does when the muse is in the house. My cushion of unposted chapters has dwindled to ONE do to real-life issues and a whole lot of audio system upgrades to the rental equipment while the sun was out and it was warm enough for wood glue and paint to dry. Now, if the muse would get back, I can build up my cushion again before the spring brings back outdoor festival season. However, I must say I LOVE mixing shows on an iPad Air 2 as I walk around in the audience.

Thanks to my proofreaders and everyone who is reading. Code Monkey will break the million mark with the new chapter, althought that is about 150,000 hits bloated from what I understand due to some peoples computers downloading the first chapter if they only look at the blurb or something.

Chapter 50 is set to hit the moderators tomorrow in the PM. Once again, I'm not sure when it will be posted after that. Thanks to all readers enjoying the Flight with me; thanks to my band of proofreaders; thanks for all the emails as well. Two more chapter should see the story counter tip over one million hits, if you believe the thing. So let's say it will be a healthy 850,000 hits. Dang.

The next chapter is in the pipeline and should be released in the PM on the 18th. I'm starting to get back into the swing of daily writing again and there are only a few big outdoor events scheduled that will break my new routine. Thanks for all the feedback and I hope you enjoy this next chapter.

My beloved Acer Aspire One needs to go into the shop so I can use the 'S' key again. So I am writing on the HP and it is a pain-in-the-butt. Now that outdoor festival season is almost over, I'm able to devote much more time to writing and editing new chapters of Flight of the Code Monkey--and it will be joyous, if only the Acre returns soon and sound.

Wish me luck and look for a new chapter on the 18th or 19th of this month.
