I've been really busy lately (OK, I've been really lazy, too) and haven't had chance (or couldn't be assed, in other words) to finish "Teaching Hannah".
I still haven't got time (or maybe I'm just still being lazy...) as I only have weekends where I can kick back and breathe on my own for a while and writing seems more like a chore lately rather than something to enjoy. I don't know if it's because I've had such a long break from the keyboard or because I haven't though about "Teaching Hannah" in a while and it's kinda died in my mind or whatever...
Anywho, I will finish it one day. Until then, it's going to become one of those things you put off for as long as possible, e.g. "I must join a gym one day", "That garden fence really needs a lick of paint" or (my personal favourite) "It's lasted this long so it can't need fixing THAT urgently..."
I'm sorry to my devoted readers (if there any of you left that is. I really am so unreliable it's unbelievable that anyone puts up with me) who've been checking every now and then to see if this lazy, pathetic excuse for a writer has added another chapter. I am merely human, though. I may be female and have the ability to - sometimes - multi-task, but I ain't Wonder Woman :)
I'm sure there are some writers reading this, thinking "Hey up, I work full-time but I still finish my stories when I say I will!" and more power to them! I have always been a bad timekeeper, if you ever eat at my house, expect dessert first and your starter last (OK, maybe it's not that bad... yet, but I'm still pretty awful).
Anywho, (prepare yourself for another excuse!) there's been a lot of stuff going on recently that's divided my attention into so many pieces it's going to take a while to get it all to myself again.
In the meantime, if anyone wants to finish "Teaching Hannah" themselves, drop me a line. I don't really mind if it gets completely edited (it's probably only going to be an improvement!), just let me know first :)
Another note, I'm becoming a bit of a reader again. Lubrican is still my favourite author of all time (for this genre, anyway :D) but I might fish around in the "New Stories" page once in a while. This may help me write again, it may not, but it's sure fun no matter what the outcome.
I'll see my readers whenever the creative juices start flowing again :)
