I find it strange that some authors get really upset at low scores achieved for their entry... This is a free site and, to me, its either a stepping stone to making money or just writing for ones own enjoyment... I must admit that when I see an author bitching about low scores I delete him/her from my reading list... As one of my friends on her FB site says, SOB - scroll on bye... Just an observation:- take it, leave it - its up to you...

I have just read Old Sarge's story and I must admit he really got to me... Please read it...

To all my buddies in California - Guys my heart goes out to you - we can do little for you from across the ocean but you are in our thoughts and prayers.. hang in there guys and stay safe...

To all those who served, stay safe and keep your powder dry... we may be a bunch of old farts but we got this way for a reason... I raise a pint of the best to us all...

Wow - what a response.... I was surprised at the comments so to some here is a little clarification....
A few years ago I worked in South Africa for a Major US manufacturer... I was actually shocked to learn how minuscule and minor we actually were... Our total yearly sales fitted in to one days production cycle at one plant in Blufton USA...
We may have thought we were big but in real terms we were not even an afterthought...
Having accepted this fact, along with having many US friends, I enjoy the stories for what they are... In particular - Wes Boyd (RIP) Banadin, Dual Writer and JT.... My point is that, to me, you write funny!!!! But I accept that in the context it has been written and enjoy it... My challenge to other readers is to accept us colonials writing..
