The newest chapter is in the queue. After receiving some feedback from you wonderful people I'm going to increase chapter length. As Warlord is a lived in universe there will be plenty of side stories. Assume most every character you meet in them will be seen again at some time or the other in Mark's tale.
As I said before, Warlord is packed full of triggers and squicks. I'm not being an arse and trying to fit in as many as I can. The Warlord Universe is not a nice place. It's a rough and tumble world where you enforce manners with a knife, Pick ax, arrows, really most anything lying around that you can fight and/or kill another human with.
It is a world of might makes right. You will also find compassion, true love, true friendship. It's a solid mix of good, bad, and pragmatic realism. So come and enjoy, if you're up for it.

I dropped the beginnings of two new stories to introduce the universe of Warlord. I've decided that for as long as I can keep writing I'm going to build this. Warlord, I hope, will be in some ways like the real world. There will be many dark moments and numerous squicks as well as moments of love, drama, and passion. I will try to keep up with the codes and attach as needed. I am aware that there is at least one gay scene. The story is not centered on homosexuality, but like the real world it has some.
I also intend to update the Oak and speak of the great joys of using a cane to keep from busting my ass among other things.

My illness is still giving me issues, but I find I can't stop writing. It's worse than cigarettes. However, progress will be slow as I can only write when my thoughts are clear enough.
I have three stories I am working on. Two are short stories and one is epic, at least by my scale. So I will be posting again. When is the question.
I do give you fair warning the larger story will have a very dark under current running through it and at times violence will reign. So be advised. I'm having to let it bake so there will be no abrupt changes and I will be sure to code as appropriate.

I uploaded "A Husband's Love" for posting a few minutes ago. As I mentioned before, it IS a short story and covers some dark and painful ground. "A Husband's Love" takes place ten years before the events in the series and should be considered a prologue.
I want to point out that you should pay attention to the codes as there may be some squick factors. It is coded caution for a reason. As always, comments and positive criticism's are always welcome.
