Tomorrow's chapter will be the finale of Eden.
I'd like to take this moment to thank all those who've voted on this submission; I'm quite proud of an achievement that I think may be unique (or certainly unusual, from what I've seen) to SOL. When I originally labeled this novel as "slow" I just meant slow-starting, but I guess I didn't realize quite how "slow." The early votes, after I started submitting the book, were quite disappointing to me. My first score was somewhere around 5.80-5.90. Yuck. From there, though, the score has kept rising almost daily. I don't think I recall any day where it didn't increase at least marginally. So from then to now it's gone up a full two ordinal points, which I've never seen with any other SOL submission. Even though many other submissions have finished up a lot higher than Eden, I'm still really happy with the steady progress it's made. And I'm even happier with the continued interest SOL readers have shown; downloads for each chapter have held steady in the high 3,000 range to the low 4,000s for many chapters now. To have 4,000 or so readers sufficiently interested to hang with me for so long is highly gratifying-not to mention the dozens of you who've bought the whole book on Amazon.
Thank you all very much indeed. Stay with me. There are more tales in the Eden Universe, and my other novels (here or at Amazon) traverse universes of their own. I look forward to sharing them with you. An author's true reward is to have his (or her) words read and appreciated. I consider myself richly rewarded.
Mothers (and mothers-to-be) eat your hearts out. A new dimension in the species' relationship.
A shortie before the final wind-down.
Also a brief reminder. The Eden saga, with which I plan to continue here. is available for Kindle on Amazon, along with several other novels I've written. The cost is very low, $3 apiece, and if you've enjoyed Eden you might want to take a look. Free samples of each book are available there.
This one just popped into my head as I was writing, pretty much the same as it did for Igwanda.
