Revised Chapter 15

Some wrong words, sprinkled some comas and rewrote page 1 because of a gun safety issue.

I got busy as weather was too miserable to go out. And no I'm not moving north of the Artic circle so I will write all the time.

Several thoughts

1. I notice people want me to post more often. I wish I did also. Like many new authors here at SOL I post as I write. That works well when I have a something to write about.

You may or may not have noticed that I try not to repeat the same old adventures for Rick, new problems each chapter. Not like the westerns where bad guys are killed at every bend in the road. That works great until you start to run out of new problems to face. That is why the delay in chapters, and that life had been good and many more exciting things to do.

2. When I finish this book (18 chapters). I am going to complete the next one before posting. Also go back and reedit previous stories and bring them all into first person POV (What was I thinking?)

3. Then the big problem. Viet Nam, bad times are coming. There is no way Rick would have avoided that. I was not there, though supported our troops. I cannot write about it. I even had problems with the opening scene of Ever and Always. So do I discontinue the series or rewrite history. I have tried to stay with history but have no problems rewriting. Rick would love to visit a grassy knoll in Dallas. I will welcome any thoughts on this.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I would also like to announce the birth of our second great grandchild, a girl. Life has been good. Will try to write more in January.

I am slogging away, next chapter is at 7000 words so far. Average is 11,000 so getting there. Life had got in the way, but in many small good ways. Example a week long birthday party in a beach front condo at Myrtle Beach, also mini reunion for wives family.

A very small sharing. We have a 2.5 year old great grandson. His mother is expecting in December. The new Mum has a room all decorated for the new great granddaughter. One of the furnishing is a little unicorn rocking horse. This fascinates the boy and he always wants to ride.

His dad found him on it. When told that it was his sisters his reply was, "That's okay, she is at work with Mommy."

I am slow but the story will be finished!
