I put this up last night and I said in my previous blog that I really wasn't too sure about it, but the voting is interesting. Out of 440 downloads 6 people voted, so well below average. One was a 10 - thanks but it really isn't that good. One was a 1, surely not that bad? And there are two 5s and two 7s which seem to me to be about right, well they reflect my feelings about the story.
I started this quite a long time ago and now I am not too sure about it. I was trying a slightly different format to my usual. Anyway, I found it and finished it. For once I don't think it'll upset anyone, unless of course...
Now normally when I post a story I do a blog to go with it but when I posted this I was tired and didn't bother. Perhaps I should've. I was a bit mmm... concerned about it because the character has a lot to say about politics. I did this in order to show that this guy was really pissed off with the world. Apparently some of our readers don't appreciate that sometimes an author will use extreme views to put a point across, or just to explore an idea. It doesn't mean that they are the author's views.
Those who wish to complain will have discovered that I don't accept mail unless it has a return address so that I can reply. My feeling is that if you want to complain have the guts to put your name to it, otherwise keep quiet.
So far only one person has taken me to task calling me an idiot and that I should stay out of US politics. Kettle, pot, black. Other than that people seem to have enjoyed it and the scores (honestly it doen't bother me, but it does act as a guide) look quite healthy for one of my stories.
So, happy to take feedback and I wish that more people would give scores, it does tell us if we are doing something right.

I actually finished this on Christmas day - how sad is that! - but I left it a couple of days to give it a final polish, well, more a rub down with an oily rag. I listed it as action/adventure but it could (possibly should)have been romance. But whatever, enjoy
I am still writing, but very slowly. Good for those who don't read very fast - okay very old joke.
There seems to be a number of writers who are unhappy with the scoring system, which I have to admit I don't understand. This is because I'm not interested, it simply doesn't bother me. I'm happy if people enjoy what I write, of course. But scores simply don't matter.
Am I the only one I wonder?
