Computers and such...

I want a newer computer.
I want a car that is not borrowed from a family member.
These priorities of course conflict. There are other desires and needs in my life (like not spending all my time under my mother's roof) that eat at my money situation, so things are not well in my world. I would like to make my living as a proofreader, but every avenue I've explored so far seems to have such a high bar of entrance that it is apparent to me that probably I shall never get there. Then there are the haters in the world. Always always the haters... And will one of them catch me unaware and beat me to death?

Thank you all

So many people have replied to my last blog that I'm running out of gas answering them. So let this be a blanket thank you to you please. I've been instructed on how to find my password, and found it. Now the only question will be if I'm willing to spend some money on a computer! Which I am really, just a matter of deciding which one to buy. I was looking at Wally's for instant gratification, but hey newegg has a better deal if I'm willing to wait on shipping.
Again, you all are wonderful!

It seems I may be forced to replace my computer (lappy as that is all I have, and all I want) we've been over recommendations here, so that really isn't ground I need to cover. Current top runner is about $560 at Walmart. I don't want to pay that much for a computer, but really would like a true hd display and hope that one that has such a thing will have a decent graphics engine... The model (that only Wally's seems to carry any more) is the HP Lumina Gold. That does worry me a bit, but my budget is pretty much set. If I get over $550 (US dollars) I'm getting into hurt territory. The problem for me now is that I have a WI-FI router that I have forgotten the password for. I know, I know, I should use something that will put my passwords in an encrypted file and recall that password. For day to day things like here I rely on constant use to keep the password fresh... But my bank? Didn't use it for 6 months or more... Forgot it. WI-FI router? Haven't used it since I set it up... I know there ought to be a file (but winblowz hid it very well from me) that stores all the passwords that I told it to remember... So I could automatically log onto my router... Maybe if I replace it I'll resort to making myself manually log on so I can recall the password.... That way when I replace the next computer I shan't (maybe) have to replace my router... And even $50 for a router is more than I want to spend on top of what replacing my computer will cost.

As I suspected the industry in which I'm working has been determined to be an essential industry. Which means that generally I'm working full time, and as I noted before doing a lot of grunt work. Now I'm better at doing the work I am my own pack mule (no one generally rates a pack mule...) which means, that when there's a heavy lift (which I'm currently still recovering from doing on Thursday) that I do most of it by my self. I was bundling and putting in the crate for the forklift driver a big plinth on Thursday. It was at least 3.5 inches by 1.5 inches times up to 16 feet in length in bundles of six pieces... OUCH! I still ache! But that wasn't the scary part! No I worried for most of 6 hours about losing control of one of those and loosing at least a finger.... BRRRRR.
On my writing, I will say this: I have given all of my work to the Canon Cabal for the Swarm Cycle. Thus if I get run over by a lift truck or something they can complete it.... Maybe I'll get back to it, but I can't promise that.
Thanks for your time and encouragement,
Tori

First don't panic. But do think of me. My hours are being cut by 20% due to the slowdown that other people being put completely out of work is causing.

I may not particularly care for president Trump, but I do agree with him that an 'Asian' flue seems to happen with regularity...

On another front; if I can keep working at least 128 hours a month (and so far that seems likely as I picked up 2 hours of over time this week already and will pick up another tomorrow plus I expect that there will be a clean up crew at least every other week) I will do okay. Things will be tight but doable.

I will be soon looking to pick up a new lap top with a decent graphics package, as it seems that I can't play my favorite on line game without better a better graphics package than my current (5+ year old lowest Wallyworld had that wasn't a Chromebook) lap top has. I'd like to keep the price around $400, but think that if I can get a beater car under way I might be able to go as high as $500 USD.

Oh and thinks for pointing out that I'm an idiot for not logging in and looking at the vote for your favorites button on the clitorides.
