JackHunter07: Stories

Amara, 19, arrives at St. Catherine's Nursing Institute with a Bible and a Ghana-must-go. She wants to be a good altar girl. Chi-Chi, 21, final year Hostel Rep, has other plans. She stares too long. Stands too close. Knows exactly when Amara's breath catches. In a hostel where Warden Agnes watches everything and NEPA takes light every night, Amara is trying not to sin. But some sins feel like prayer.

When Amara's mother dies, she is pulled from her quiet village and thrown into the dazzling, dangerous world of her wealthy Aunty Chidinma's Lagos mansion. Aunty Chidinma is generous, beautiful, and relentless. Her love is suffocating, her touch possessive. Trapped in a golden cage, Amara discovers a terrible secret: her mother sacrificed everything to protect her. Now Amara must decide if she wants Aunty's love — or her freedom.
