Tom Frost: Stories

Waiting for Armageddon is a long haul with a lot of time to fill and no standing orders. Ray has been drifting aimlessly around the world for thousands of years, unable to stay in one place for too long because she doesn’t age and unwilling to put down roots because the end of the world seems inevitable. It’s a lonely life and she finds solace where she can, but modern technology has offered her new ways to connect with no commitment.

Progress on this story has been suspended for the foreseeable future. Apollo Cirillo just wants what any young man living 600 years after humanity began colonizing the stars wants - functional immortality, limitless virtual sex, and a girlfriend who likes to cosplay. But when his girlfriend wants to move on and he's offered a job testing immersive VR simulations on another world, he finds out that the universe is even stranger than fiction.

What looks like a dream romance to the world promises to be a nightmare when they're alone. But if it's a nightmare, why does Kara's heart pound the way it does every time he looks at her?

An Entry in Tom Frost's Diary

A Honeybee Syndrome Story
By 2040, the fertility crisis was reaching its 25th year. But even with birth rates dwindling towards zero, most of the world seemed to just want to pretend it wasn't happening. This is how one man started to change that.

The world is ending today. It's just as well. (A very short piece I don't remember why or when I wrote, but figured I would share.)
