A Story in the Nemesis Universe
On his way home from a trip away at O7.45 in the morning. A husband gets caught in the rush-hour traffic. What he sees then changes his life.
Frank - a common-a-garden truck driver - finds himself shacked up for a couple of months in a villa on Caribbean island, with aristocratic woman from way above his station in life. Frank start to wonder how long it will take for the beautiful woman to get tired of the 'bit of rough' she's picked up as a play thing.
You never know what will turn up on the back of a truck. Allan's life has not gone the way he would have liked. He lives the life of a traveller, almost living permanently in his truck now that he has lost his family. Then a young woman comes into his life. Allan feels he's to old for an emotional involvement with her. But he can pretend that she is his daughter. She brings a purpose back to his existence.
Porsha has always been a selfish person. She loves her husband and her children, but she has spent her life building her career at the expense of them. Once the children have gone off to university things begin to come to a head between her and her spouse. And then she pushes her luck too far for her husband to tolerate any longer. Porsha finds her life spiralling out of control.
