A Reader's Guide to the D-Hopping Universe Clicking on this link will take you to a document that provides extensive information on the Multiverse in which the stories posted to my universe are set. Multiverse is used to indicate multiple universes. In my universe, the 'Multiverse' is comprised of an unknown number of universes, which are linked to each other by a 3-dimensional force field. The 'Known Multiverse' includes over 18 thousand universes and almost 63 thousand planets that have been visited by a D-Hopper. A D-Hopper is a person who has the unique ability to travel between universes by following the force field axes that interconnect the Multiverse's universes. The stories posted to the D-Hopping Universe focus on D-Hoppers who use their ability to explore the Multiverse (Exploratory D-Hopping, which is a very dangerous profession) and those who use their ability for commerce (Commercial D-Hopping, which is a relatively safe profession). D-Hoppers who go into Exploratory D-Hopping have two basic goals: visiting places no one has previously visited and finding a planet that has the potential of making the D-Hopper wealthy. D-Hoppers who go into Commercial D-Hopping also have two basic goals: visiting strange and exotic places and using their ability to earn a living.
