This is a universe where the only real commonality is that a birthday wish actually comes true in every case, leading to dramatic, and mostly positive consequences for the hero, though often unpleasant ones for his or her enemies.
This is a dystopian universe wherein the stories largely feature a world where slavery or involuntary bondage has returned to the First World in full vigor, including the United States. There are those that oppose its return, but so far in vain.
This is a universe where fire and sulfur as divine judgment laid waste to many major cities worldwide, triggering chaos, anarchy, lawlessness, misery, and poverty around much of the world. Haven is the brightest beacon of light in the new Dark Ages, though there are dimmer ones. This universe involves both before and after Doomsday, or Fireball Day as some call it.
The Lawgiver series is a part of this, too, though it focuses on the Founder of Haven, the Lawgiver, Mark Schumacher himself, and his family, history, etc. He has special powers and gifts, though some of them are shared by other men, just not all, for he is a Prophet of the King of Heaven, too.
Certain other stories feature people who are either keen on living in Haven or at least curious about it, or else people who live outside of it in the same universe, but in much darker circumstances. Rumors of Haven and How Does Your Garden Grow are the two examples thus far of this kind of story.
This is a universe where powerful daemons with strong sexual energy and influence bond with various men to enhance those men's sexual chemistry with others and allow themselves to fully experience the benefits of their erotic adventures. Women..and other men tend to be putty in their hands.
This universe is one where an apocalyptic event known to all simply as "the Mayhem" results in the collapse of many governments, global instability, economic dislocation, massive violence, and the rise of new regimes and warlords, especially in the Anglophone world. The Anglo-American Commonwealth, ruled by the enigmatic dictator known as Leviathan, is governed according to Hobbesian principles and includes basically all of the English-speaking world. It is the main focus of the stories herein.
