My contribution to the ASSM Historical Challenge. This story is set in Siberia in 1919, depicting the love between two 'comrades' during the Russian Civil War.
A volunteer from the 'Worker's and Peasant's Army' finds a woman in the snow, half dead from hypothermia. Dismissing the suspicians of his comrades, he is determined to discover the truth about this woman. Despite what that truth may cost him.

Jake inherits a block of flats from his mother. They're in a poor state, however, and require renovation. While he worked to upgrade the place, he recieves an urgent request from the local women's refuge. Is this the point at which Jake's reclusive life changes? Or is this innocent request merely setting the stage for another of life's disappointments?

In 1904 Russia was at war with Japan. In October the Baltic Fleet departed for an epic voyage around the World to relieve the hard-pressed Squadron at Port Arthur. This story concerns the adventures of a young Officer on the Destroyer Grozny, on land and at sea.
